Welcome to the Western Sydney Chapter of the Harley Owners Group.

The Harley Owners Group (HOG) is a non-profit, non-political, family-orientated motorcycle organisation, which was set up by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 1983.

HOG is all about providing Harley-Davidson riders with somewhere they can come together to share their common interest in Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and most importantly, to "Ride and Have Fun”.

The Motor Company supports local Chapters throughout the world (there are about 45 Chapters in Australia) and all follow the same “Charter for Chapters” guidelines, with the aim to have safe, fun riding experiences on our Harley-Davidson motorcycles, in a friendly family environment.

All Chapters are sponsored by their local Harley-Davidson dealer. Our Chapter's Sponsoring Dealer is Harley Heaven Western Sydney, located at 70 Sunnyholt Rd., Blacktown.

Our Chapter was formed in September 1992 as the Blacktown Chapter. The name was later changed to the Western Sydney Chapter.

Now, in 2022 we proudly celebrate 30 Years as a HOG Chapter.

The founding Director was Ron Franolich (1992-95), Since then Roger Sant (1995-2000), Glenn Petersen (2000-03), Peter Mennell (2003-2009), Rod Reynolds (2009-2012), David Payne (2012-2014), Steve Mahony (2014-2017), Rod Onley (2017 - 2021) and Greg Worrall (2021 - Current) have served as Directors of the Chapter.

We are passionate about riding and so our Chapter holds many events throughout each year, which all members and their families are welcome to attend. There is at least one organised day ride, usually on a Sunday, and most months there is a weekend overnight ride to a pre-planned destination, which could almost come with a guarantee of having a great time.

To help new members feel part of our HOG family and to get a feel for riding in a group, we conduct a New Members Ride each month - usually on the first Saturday. This ride goes for around 2 hours and is followed by a free barbeque.

A monthly Chapter Meeting is held on the last Wednesday of each month to keep members up to date with the running of the Chapter, and details on upcoming events.

The Chapter also holds several social events during the year, as well as rides to State and National HOG Rallies, and impromptu rides.

All Chapter events, reports and general information are provided to members via a monthly e-newsletter and the Chapter website.

On behalf of all other Western Sydney HOG Chapter members, I encourage you to consider joining us where you will be most welcome to join in, Ride and Have Fun!
